What if you could have both? We are bombarded daily with too much information about what we should or shouldn’t eat, how we should look and what we should be doing to be healthy. Misinformation within a few clicks or scrolls, can be dangerous, overwhelming and might create an unrealistic idea of what it means to be healthy. This pressure of perfect imposes unattainable goals that you probably never wanted in the first place.
‘Most people have no idea how good their body is designed to feel.’ – Kevin Trudeau
How can we be healthy and happy? Striking the balance needs your attention because there is no one size fits all remedy, and at the end of the day being healthy and happy is relative to you. You don’t need to accept living in pain, not sleeping, feeling anxious or depressed and anything else that compromises your quality of life. It’s about what is important to you, and figuring out what you need physically, mentally and emotionally. Give yourself a chance to figure that out, and making it a priority.
It involves making a commitment to yourself, and becoming aware of what you’re doing and not doing that is contributing to your wellbeing. What you eat, how you move your body, how you treat yourself, who you surround yourself with, your mindset and what you’re doing to manage stress are some key elements to start listening to your needs. It’s layered and can be complicated, and may feel lonely but it doesn’t have to be. Connection is something we are all craving especially now, so if you don’t know where to start, please reach out – I may be able to help, and I may be able to introduce you to others that can help you too.
You know your body best, and you choose what feels good for you, so keep that in mind when you begin to build your very own own wellness tool kit and team to support you along the way. The small steps and shifts in habits, mindset and choices that line up with what feels good and makes you happy can make all the difference. I’ve learned that it’s never just about food and that being healthy shouldn’t compromise your happiness. Enjoy food that supports you with no guilt, find the right exercise, connect with those who want the best for you, and focus of feeling good.
